The new N/W line is complete with rails in place, connecting junctions every 4-5 map segments, and 8 news stations. The whole N/W line has been mapped (just the map containing the rail), but only one of the E/W crossover lines yet. You can go to the map room to see what is done. All of the new stations are mapped and labeled. Any one of them is a good jumping off point to go explore the new 1.17.1 world!

As a reminder, to use the rail system, simply choose a ticket from a ticket chest. One is located at each station and the one for the map room is a level up from the map room near the underwater glass walkway. Place a single ticket in the upper left corner of your inventory and the conductor will take it and set your destination. Then just jump on a rail in a cart and go!

Looking at the stations from North to South, first we have Amethyst Cave. Go here if you want an easy to find Amethyst geode big enough to walk in or to see a dripstone cave complete with stalactites and stalagmites. Or go find a new cave and discover them!

Next we find Woodlamp Village. Unsurprisingly named after the many wood lamps placed around the village.

From there we take a half-day journey south to Seasand Pyramid, passing a number of biomes including Forest, Dark Forest, Ocean, Cold Ocean, Deep Cold Ocean, Beach, River, Plains, Desert, and Desert Hills. Lots to choose from.
What wonderous things might they have done in there! Was this a religious site or a fish market? Are there Treasures buried within? Hard to say…

South further still we start to hit the Savanna and Savanna Plateau Biomes where we find The Village of Tushallowwells. I wonder how the village got that name?

Nothing but the Savanna until we cross a river and hit the Waterside Pillager Den Station, overlooking, well, a Pillager Den. Although this station is very close to the outpost, it is out of reach of Pillager spawning. Due to the way the rail line approaches the station, it and the station are raised making it safe from approach. Still, we used a iron door and button just in case one gets across the small lake. There also appears to be a large cave behind the station although this has not yet been explored.

South of that is the Holey Hill station. This was the first station on this line and is directly West of Shipwreck Station and Castle Station. It was used as a jumping off point for working on this line. It got its name simply because the hills seem to have a lot of holes in them. Good luck exploring them!

South of that and almost directly West of Sandcastle Station, Big Underwater Temple station and home base is Terracotta Lamp Village, named after its signature Terracotta topped lamps.

The next stop south is Yellowtop Village, named after its unique mix of adobe and woodland architecture with a yellow theme. The station here is quite nice and fully protected! The village has quite a lot of tall grass too, so keep an eye out for things hiding in them (like spiders!)

The southmost station on the N/S line is the Pillager Overlook. This station is unique in that it sports a Redstone door that opens automatically allowing the mine cart into the station then closing behind it. This is because the station is so close to the Pillager Outpost that they would be able to get in otherwise. The station has a beautiful panoramic view of the outpost via a glass room. It also uses an iron door and buttons to ensure pillagers can’t get in. Nearby is a large chasm too to explore, but be careful! Those Pillagers are fast and can catch up to you quickly when roaming around.

Well, that’s it for now! Feel free to jump in and explore. Consider bringing a few empty maps with you and adding to the map room!
Quite impressed with those stations! I’ll have to check them out next time I log on 🙂
Thanks! I’m thinking of removing a few of the old stations now one uses. It’s pretty easy to tell since the ticket chest will not have been updated in a long time. I recently found one that still had the stacks of 63 tickets for example. Otherwise I will need another ticket chest soon!
